Why I'm building this
I was the kid tracking visa dates on a calendar taped to the fridge.
My grandparents migrated to New Zealand in the 90s. My mum and I followed in the early 2000s. I grew up watching my family navigate the full immigration journey — temporary visas, renewals, residence applications, citizenship.
There was always a document about to expire. Always a deadline that couldn't be missed. My mum kept a paper calendar on the fridge with every important date circled in red.
We made it through. But so many families don't — not because they weren't eligible, but because they missed a deadline, let a document lapse, or miscounted their days.
I'm a licensed immigration adviser now. I see it every week. Smart, qualified people who lose their visa status over something a simple reminder could have prevented.
That fridge calendar should exist as an app. So I'm building it. 🧊
